Day started out pretty good. Truck was running REAL rich, about 180 or so in practice, so I leaned it out a little bit. Kept leaning it after each of the heat races. Finally at the end of the 7 minute "A" main it was running between 240-245, which isn't bad and felt pretty good. This was with the old idle bar style plugs, might try a 9 colder plug the next week and see if that helps some on the top end and will let me lean it out more.

I finished 4th in both heat races and went into the "A" main starting in 5th place. Came up to 2nd place overall but was 3 laps off Wally, who ended up winning the race with 20 laps in 7 minutes. I did 17, which wasn't bad. Truck felt pretty good. I was using the 40 series low profile Pro-Line tires, and didn't use any break at all, just coasted into the corners. Handled ok.

Didn't break anything but did notice a wheel hop a little in the front and found the axle bent, and when I took it apart later found the end pin in the CV joint was broke, looks like from lack of lubrication, so guess I need to pull the boots back and lube them more. I ordered two new sets.

Good day of racing and this was the start of the Summer series. Ended up 2nd in the race, so I have 98 points now.

Finished 2nd in the Spring series, which I don't think was too bad considering it was my first year, and we only got 4 or the 8 races in, and they dropped the 2 lowest scores, so Robert Spencer and two 100 point wins.

Will do more work on the truck, and hope to try the LD3 the next week or so and see how it runs. Need to do some more breaking in on the motor and wait for the bump box to get here, as the pull start is for the dogs.
