October 11, 2003 Hobby Town 5th race of Fall Season

Today was a good day at the track. Started out cool but warmed up. We couldn't race in our regular spot and had to move down some and the track was much smaller and a LOT harder to drive as it was a throttle track more then anything. Lee Rader showed up today so I had some good competition. Think he might have got the TQ for the day with 16 and I was one behind. Ran from one side of the track in the first heat race and kept shooting the straight too far. In the second heat race I moved to the other side and was much better, but think I still ran the same number of laps, just a little faster, but had a lot better control of the truck. I ran the T-Maxx with Sirio and stock plastic drive shafts and all.

In the Main race it was Lee beating me by 2 seconds, (he jumped over the 2x4 and came across the finish line in front of me, as I rounded the corner. It was a good race though, with Steve Patruci in 3rd.

I ran the Dominator a few laps in the beginning, but couldn't tell much about it since it was so short of a track, but felt pretty good. I had the slicks with Panther foam inserts on it. Will try them tomorrow and see how they feel on it, but will probably go back to the Pro-Line 40 series Road rage tires.

The points went as follows, Lee won, I came in 2nd and Steve 3rd. I think Lee got the TQ also.

This was the 5 of 9 races, and we have run 3 out of the total 9 with a 1st, 1st, and 2nd
