October 26, 2003 - Olde Towne

Day started out looking like it was going to rain. It was in the high 50's and they were saying it was suppose to get into the high 60's, but not sure if it ever did. It was breezy all day long. They were also calling for rain to start by about 3 in the afternoon.

I started out running my Dominator and it seemed to run ok and ran a few practice laps with the T-Maxx. Ran the first qualifier with the Dominator and set TQ for the day with it with 12 laps, which wasn't bad, I took my time and tried to keep tighter on corners. In the second Heat with the Dominator had some guy hit me head on with about 3 laps into it. Tore the top arm off, the bottom knuckle and bent the CVA joint real bad. I had all the parts to fix it except the CVA and didn't know it was bent until I had all about back together. Then I decided I would have to run the race with the T-Maxx, so I sat the 3rd heat race out. In it Lee stripped a spur gear and broke a shock of which he fixed, but forgot to put the new Spur gear in and when it came time to run he couldn't, so he sat it out. Justin Cornet had a Associated truck and it ran pretty good, just didn't seem to have the speed I figured it would have. There were about 8 or 9 in the race, and I started up front and stayed there I think the whole race. Since we thought it was going to rain we cut the race to 5 minutes (of which I didn't mind as I had enough fuel). Ran a good race, no flips or hits from what I can remember. Ran 12 laps and the second place guy Thomas with the Savage just did run 11, and the guy from Hobby Town with the Electric buggy or truck came in third, it was strong with a 8 turn motor.

Results where me with a 1st and a TQ, Thomas with the Savage in 2nd and the guy from Hobby Town in third. Lee didn't start the race, so he didn't get any points and Justin Cornet didn't either. None of the Spences were there either.
