September 11, 2004 - Hobby Town Manassas

It was a nice day, in the lower 80's. Didn't have a big turnout as I think some were planning on going to the Charity race on Sunday. I started off in running the Savage truck. Cut off about 3 or 4 laps from the end in the first heat (I think the idle could have been too low) but it had that same feel to the diffs, transmission, or something like it did last week and would roll fine, then it had a locking up or notchy feeling. Felt more like it was in the front diff, but will take the transmission apart also. I decided to run the T-Maxx in the next heat race and the main and won the heat and the Main also. Glen wasn't there, neither was Deforest and some of the others.
In Electric I ran the old car after changing motors from one car to the other. The old car ran good and handled good also. Ran Marks old chassis with the motor that didn't run as good, and it really had a hesitation in that car, and the steering rack that is in the stock TC3 just didn't turn as good as the one I modified, so I ran the revamped car and it ran pretty good. There were a few guys there that were pretty good, and won the first heat, came in second in the 2nd heat to Rod Mitchell and did the same in the Main, a 2nd to Rod.
All in all it was a good day, now to get the Savage to run right, as it handles, or easier to drive then the T-Maxx. I will work on it this week and see if I can't get things fixed.
