September 6, 2003 - Hobby Town in Manassas

Was a really nice day, only got in the high 70's to low 80's. I took my LD3 Pro car and my truck. Got the car out and ran it across the parking lot a few times and spun it around and knocked one of the knuckles off the balls when it BARELY hit a curb stop. Right then and there I decided to put it in the van and run the truck. Then, during the day the more I thought about it and the prices I had been seeing on E-Bay I decided to get rid of All of my LD3 stuff, starters and such. I told Scott Sebastian and he sounded interested and when I got home I called Scotty Lewis up and he said he would take all, so I just need to pull all the radio gear and such out of it and get it all together for him. Going to sell him all, the 2 Pro cars and the RTR and the Ofna starter box for $500, which is a hell of a deal.

Ok, what I did at the track, well they had added new outside borders made from seamless gutter. Worked pretty good. I only had one other truck there Steve Putruski (sp) and he runs pretty good, but I put about 3 laps on him in heat races and in the main. It really is a drivers course but was nice and they are going to be running the next 2 Sat. and we will be off this Sunday and next at Old Town so that is good, I will just run my T-Maxx truck there and work on building my Dominator for Old Town.

I ran 13 laps in 5 minutes. The nitro cars ran a 10 minute main and Rob Mendosa won it with 32 laps and Joe Sebastian had the same, he just barely beat him.

It was a good day and I have decided that the Trucks are where it is at for me, so I am going to stick more to that.

I think they said they are going to run a 7 series for the fall and drop 2 of your lowest races. I won the first one so right now I am ahead in the points, with Steve P. in second.
